In the article “Far from the Madding Crowd: Collective Wisdom in Prediction Markets”, which will appear in the Special Issue on AI and Machine Learning in Finance of the Journal Quantitative Finance, EMbeDS researchers Giulio Bottazzi and Daniele Giachini study the asymptotic properties of prices emerging from a repeated prediction market model.
The 2019 edition of the Summer School of Mathematics for Economic and Social Sciences, organized by the Mathematics Research Center 'Ennio De Giorgi' with the support of the International Doctoral Program in Economics of the Sant'Anna School, will focus on Random Dynamical Systems and their Perturbations.
Matthew Harding, Associate Professor of Economics and Statistics at UC Irvine, will hold a seminar titled "A Structural Approach to Dynamic Energy Pricing and Consumer Welfare" (May 23, 2019) and a Q&A session on "Big Data, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning: Opportunities and Costs for Economists" (May 24, 2019) at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies.
