The Institutes of Economics and Management of the Sant’Anna School for Advanced Studies are planning an interdisciplinary cluster hire and a visiting faculty program focused on methodology and applications of contemporary “Big Data” analysis in the Social Sciences.
For the interdisciplinary cluster hire, we seek candidates at the associate professor level in Econometrics and Statistics, and candidates at the assistant professor level (tenure track) in Computer Science. Of particular interest are candidates in Econometrics with expertise in time series modeling and techniques for longitudinal Big Data; candidates in Statistics with expertise in the analysis of Big Data related to public health and health care systems evaluation; and candidates in Computer Science with expertise in Big Data management, massive computing techniques and large simulation models. For the visiting faculty program, we seek candidates at all levels, whose research focuses on Big data analysis in the Social Sciences. These individuals will spend periods ranging from 2-3 weeks to 2-3 months at the School to pursue collaborative projects and offer special topics courses in our graduate programs.
